COLDSKY.CN – “To book an event venue as easy as a ticket.” Chinese event venue startup linhuiba.com has reportedly recruited Zhao Yun, former director of Alibaba’s marketing division, to become its product partner.
Linhuiba.com received tens of millions of yuan in a Series A round of fund raising from China Merchants Group subsidiary CMG Innovative Investment Management Co., Ltd. in December.
Like an e-commerce site, the platform helps brands and companies book venues in communities, office buildings, shopping malls, subway stations, airports, amusement parks and tourist attractions. For example, a 3-by-1.5 meter booth close to the restaurants zone in the underground floor of Beijing’s Sino-Ocean International Center costs 720 yuan a day from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
According to a company report, it offered 14,000 venues that received over 30 million visits a day in December.
